Harassment At Work

Harassment At Work

Harassment at work touches on a wide number of areas of law. The most publicised cases of harassment at work concern racial or sexual harassment which can come from fellow employees or from the employer. But harassment can come about where an indiviidual is persecuted or bullied because of a religious belief or a sexual orientation. Remedies may take different forms depending on the type of “harassment” suffered and can include following through grievance procedures to claims under the Discrimination laws to the invocation of orders under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997. The 1997 Act allows for claims for damages and Interdict.
